Who is "Scared Scott"?

Scared Scott is the unwitting creator of the "The Scared Scouts". His role was accidental and simply occurred by writing his adventures and fears about a place called "The Outside" in a journal he titled "Scared Scott's Guide to The Outside". Years after his disappearance, Ralf and his friends discover the tattered old book which they could barely make out the title. To their eyes, it looked as if to say "Scared Scouts..." and thus became the birth of "The White Knight" and he and his friends’ journeys back and forth into "The Outside".

"I'M SCARED: THE MOVIE!" at the Virginia MOCA

MARCH 17 - AUGUST 19, 2018

We are excited to announce that I'm Scared: The Movie! will be playing during the Lightbulb Momentsanimation exhibition at the Virginia, MOCA. "In our society, everything moves forward with innovation: culture, communication, technology, and travel. But we cannot innovate without creativity and imagination. Making new connections and ideas moves us forward both in our communities and as a species. In the past few years, there have been growing concerns regarding the American Educational system and its ability to foster creativity in children. Read more about the exhibition.

Jacob has found himself lost in "The Outside" it has been a couple years and he has wittingly figured out how this place works but is still increasingly angry at what caused him to be stuck in this strange place.

ALTREALITIES: The Fantastical Worlds & Creatures of Contemporary Artists

SEPT. 8 - NOV. 26, 2017

A popular theme with artists today is the exploration of alternate universes outside our perception of reality. Like Alice’s journey to Wonderland, these surreal landscapes and the creatures that inhabit them serve as windows into realms that feel familiar but are twisted to reveal new perspectives. AltRealities brings together artists whose work alludes to the possibility of other worlds that exist beyond our own, even if they are only imaginary.
