News and updates about the artwork of Greg CRAOLA Simkins, including gallery exhibits, events and new releases.
I’m happy to announce my very first NFT drop TODAY at 1pm PST on the Bitski platform! What is an NFT? An NFT is a piece of digital media that can be owned, sold and traded. But that's just scratching the surface – NFTs will be the atomic unit of ownership across metaverses.
I paint a lot of keys in my work. With every key, there is a keyhole that when matched up, unlocks the portal into a fantastic and whimsical other world that I call the “The Outside”. It’ a place where octopus carriages travel through rain clouds and herds of antique couches travel through villages of puppet people and Starry Knights. You might find yourself flying on the back of an enormous bluejay while out on an adventure of your own, with a card guard sidekick leading the way. This key has passed through many hands and has invited all kinds of characters to fall down the rabbit hole and venture off into a place made up of pure imagination.
I invite you to unlock this door with your very own “Key The Outside” with my new limited edition pendant by SUAREZ. Limited to only 55 pieces, each pendant includes a 42-centimeter silver chain and special case. SHIPS WORLDWIDE.
Here’s a sneak peek of the Slipcase Editions of my newest book of drawings, “Drawn 2 the Well” which will be available for preorder soon! Additional photos and details will be announced this week so stay tuned!

Every good piece starts with a sketch. It’s not always perfect or pretty and polished, but it is the beginning of something new and unique! It’s the point where life is breathed into an idea. I hope you enjoy this small beginning of this sketchbook collection which will be growing moving forward. - Greg “CRAOLA” Simkins
For centuries, all the worlds, including "The Outside" have been plagued by the threat of the famished world eaters. The only known hero strong enough to stand against this hungry hoard and their devious plans is the legendary "Defender of the Outside”, Kitron, a formidably tall warrior composed of five fierce porcelain kittens whose companions are known as the Starry Knights! Brought to The Outside years ago, he himself became a Starry Knight to learn the ways of this world before setting off on his own adventures… with a duck. - Greg "CRAOLA" Simkins
